Please feel free to donate any amount that you have prayerfully considered.
Give a child the opportunity to receive a faith-based education at Holy Spirit Catholic School. The cost of tuition can often present a severe financial hardship for some families. At Holy Spirit Catholic School, we believe no child should be unable to receive and benefit from a Catholic education because of tuition concerns.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to give a child the opportunity to attend Holy Spirit Catholic School, please get in touch with our office at 906-563-8817.
Through your generosity, you are encouraged to designate your financial gift as you wish. Examples of gift designations include:
Tuition Assistance
Technology & Curriculum Enhancements
Endowment Fund
General Operating Funds
Building and Grounds Improvements
In addition to financial assistance, we also are in need of gracious donors of time and talents for our many fundraising efforts throughout the year. If you are interested in donating your time to these efforts please contact the school office.
There are many types of planned giving that can be designated on behalf of the school should you wish to support our mission in that manner. Examples of planned gifts include:
Bequests
Appreciated Stock
Insurance Policy
Real Estate
Retirement Plan/IRA
Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable Remainder Trust
Charitable Lead Trust
The benefits of planned giving include:
Donors can contribute appreciated property, like securities or real estate, receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the asset, and pay no capital gains tax on the transfer.
Donors who establish a life-income gift receive a tax deduction for the full, fair market value of the assets contributed, minus the present value of the income interest retained; if they fund their gift with appreciated property they pay no upfront capital gains tax on the transfer.
Gifts payable to charity upon the donor’s death, like a bequest or a beneficiary designation in a life insurance policy or retirement account, do not generate a lifetime income tax deduction for the donor, but they are exempt from estate tax.
Please consult your financial advisor or estate planner for additional details.
